Readers should be able to distinguish a reported fact, an explanation and an opinion. This policy describes the publishing standard for CodeofLaw.
Sources and dates
Use official court documents, legislation, government notifications and institutional notices wherever available. Link the source in the article. Identify the date of the underlying event separately from the publication date. A recommendation, interim order and final decision should not be described as interchangeable.
AI assistance and attribution
AI-assisted briefs carry an editorial note and source links. They must not invent quotations, court findings, case citations, reporter identities or claims of attendance. An AI-assisted explanation is not a substitute for the underlying judgment or an individual lawyer’s advice.
Corrections
Send the article URL, the disputed passage and supporting source material through our Contact page or to contact@codeoflaw.in. If an article is materially changed, add a visible correction note explaining the change and date. Unverified or unfinished material should remain in draft while it is reviewed.
Opinion and commercial material
Label opinion and sponsored material clearly if it is published. A link to an external institution is a research reference, not an endorsement. We do not promise a particular outcome in a legal dispute.
